I had the same problem after a clean install of Jaunty on my Sony Vaio PCG-Z1RMP (ATI Radeon Mobility M6 LY.) ~30% Xorg CPU usage when just running top in a default size gnome-terminal. Using Klaas' xorg.conf brought my Xorg's CPU usage down to ~2%. Thanks Klaas! :) -- scrolling (and other
