Hi everyone,
I found a solution to the problem on my machine for this "freezing"
issue. I have a Broadcom Wireless adapter on my Dell Inspiron 1501
notebook and I was running the proprietary drivers from "Hardware
Drivers". As soon as I installed "fw-cutter" the problem of "freezing"
stopped co

using a desktop with 9.04 server, lost connection to the server. When I
got home I noticed both leds blinking. This is the first time I had this

I confirm the same problem with a:
HP Pavilion dv2225nr (Turion X2 - 4GB - Nvidia 6100go)
I tried to look logs but found nothing that really helps. In fact, I
found it happening since kernel upgrade (I think to 2.6.28). My system
now is:
Linux bisonho 2.6.28-12-generic #43-Ubuntu SMP Fri Ma

If you need any log or information that helps to solve this just ask it.
I don't know where to find but I am sure I can help debug.

I can also confirm this problem. HP Pavilion DV7 with the nvidia
drivers loaded. This happens when the system is graphically loaded,
e.g., when I cat a long build log. The Caps lock light and wifi lights
both flash and everything is completely hung. This is very easy for me

Intel Core 2 Duo 1.86ghz
2GB ddr2 800 RAM
500gb SATA, 250GB SATA, 40GB ATA, 120GB ATA,
ATI X1950 Pro 512mb/256bit Grfx Card
Onboard 1gb Network Card
The only thing i can see is that we all roll with ATI Grfx Cards?

This freezing happens frequently, when system is up and running for 2-3 hours.

It might be the graphic card drivers. I tried to completely remove my
nVidia Drivers but still no use... :(

Intel i7 940.
EVGA 3X Classified.
6 GB RAM DDR3 Dominator.
nVidia 8800GTS.
Ubuntu 9.04 64 bits (full patched)
EXT4 file system.
kernels 2.6.28-11 and -13 (no matter, both fail)
