Just a thought... I don't know if this is possible. Could the password
prompt be set to go to the center of the current viewable space? Or
would that cause issues with multi-monitor setups?

Well, I'm not sure how reliable focusing the window can be considering
what gksu does to the X server when it launches. I could probably easily
make it zoom completely out though. Would that be an acceptable fix to
this bug?

Travis, I feel that the Invalid status is still not right. It has been
noted that if the mouse is moved, then the screen does not center to the
password prompt. If the mouse does not move, then the screen does as
expected and centers to the dialogue box. That is the issue being

Thank you. I can reproduce this with an up-to-date karmic. As Brian
mentioned, the zoomed area shifts to the password dialog box, but only
if you don't move the mouse (not even slightly).

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug. I tried recreating it
using the "Enhanced Zoom Desktop" plugin on Jaunty Jackalope and was
unsuccessful as the zoomed in area shifted to the password dialog box.
Which zoom plugin and release are you using?
