Public bug reported: Binary package hint: update-manager
ms-ttf-corefonts installs late in the install process. wpa_supplicant changed a flag from "-w" to "-W" and the installer for it didn't change /etc/network/interfaces - this caused my network connection to go down in the middle of the upgrade, so that ms-ttf-corefonts was unable to do it's wget to sourceforge, and that package failed. I can't build a more reliable repro since I only have one laptop. A simple fix would be to either change the order, so that any packages with internet requirements go earlier, or update the wpa_supplicant upgrader to check the flags in /etc/network/interfaces in the "pre-up" section for the wireless interfaces (which is where my problem originates from). ** Affects: update-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- ms-ttf-corefonts upgrader requires internet access after network packages reconfigure /etc/network/interfaces https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/371912 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
