Public bug reported: Ubuntu 8.10, amd64-version, gnome network manager for pptp-vpn via wlan connection:
vpn works absolutely fine when a new vpn-connection is configured, stable for several hours. After disconnecting and reconnecting ping still works (including DNS) but SSH and HTTP (tested with wget) are not working anymore. Entering the IP of the VPN-Server instead of the network name gives just one other round of fully working vpn, stopping to work for HTTP/SSH on second connect. On a second user account (that existed before the first vpn-connection) I could repeat the entire procedure with server name and IP address having one time of working vpn for both variants of the vpn-server-name. Deleting the vpn from the list of configured vpn's and adding a new vpn- network-entry does not remove the SSH/HTTP problem. Newly added users now can not get SSH/HTTP either. ** Affects: network-manager-pptp (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- pptp vpn stops working on second login https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/371962 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
