As stated by http://www.electricsheep.org: "We are losing our hosting for the v2.6 server. All users should upgrade to v2.7. " and "Because the 2.6 server is being shut down, we are only distributing 2.7 clients. Although they are still in beta, they have been tested well and we recommend them to all users, both new and old. " So, being as v2.6 is going to be shut down, I think 2.7b9 should be packaged and released as the recommended version for all active Ubuntu versions.
