I'm getting this on KDE 4.1.3 when I try to run ktorrent using a panel
shortcut: KDEinit could not launch /usr/bin/ktorrent. Strangely,
though, ktorrent *does* start up regardless.

Just retried running kinfocenter in the run dialog. It no longer
happens and could not find any hidden message box like I reported in the
original post. I'm running Feisty.
I suppose you can close this if there is no follow-up soon.

The file is still in the same place, but i dont see the KDEinit could
not launch 'kinfocenter' error message, with later versions of kde...

I have the same error sometimes running Konqueror as root. I use Dapper
with all the updates, KDE 3.5.2 and sometimes when I try to open a text
file with Kate or other app I get this error message.
