Public bug reported:

Whenever this computer reboots, it occasionally changes resolution and
needs a reboot! It didn't happen for about two days so far but on some
days, the resolution changes a lot per reboots, sometimes it changes
just one of the reboots and on some other days, the resolution remains
what it is supposed to be!

I have no idea what this is caused by some I will give the information
on the video card (from lspci) because that is the only relation I can
think of:

VGA compatible controller: Matrox Graphics, Inc. MGA G400/G450 (rev 82)

This is the 32 bit version of Ubuntu 8.10. The computer has 384MB of RAM
and has a Pentium 3 850 Mhz CPU.

If more information is needed, just ask!

** Affects: ubuntu
     Importance: Undecided
