I'm seeing this behavior starting about a week ago in a completely up-
to-date Gutsy install. Seems there may have been a regression in recent
updates. (I have all standard repos enabled including proposed.)

I had the same problem in december but it's now fixed for me. I think
that this bug has been solved. Feel free to reopen if it's still an
issue for you

same thing here. (dell inspiron 6000 / edgy eft).
some times it can connect, some times it cannot.
strangely, its connection success rate has been decreasing constantly
since i installed it (network-manager). strictly speaking, first days i
hadn't experienced any problem at all whereas nowadays
I'm seeing similar behaviour, possibly related to the same bug. When nm-
applet starts it prompts for keyring access twice, at the same time (two
separate identical dialogues.) Once I enter my password into both, it
connects. This happens every time I boot up.

I think this is due to a problem between nm-applet and dbus.
Attached is a log from running nm-applet from a terminal and the errors
it displays.
