I didn't mean for it to be completely deselected. It would be enough if the appearance of the selection changed when focus was lost. When the window regain the focus the selection should change back to normal. As it is, the colours are identical for a selection inside a window with focus as for a s

Thank you for your bug report, unselecting on focus switch would not be a good idea since there is a many case where you are working on a selection and might switch to something else (getting an instant messager message for example), the color are different for things having focus or not ** Change
