I too am having the same problem. I have VLC open to watch a film, and
Writer open to take notes on the film. The menu continues to open at
haphazard intervals with the result that as I type I risk triggering
file open, save, print dialogues, etc.
Also "Alt" is not stuck, mouse stationary, and I

I don't have this problem with any other application. The "alt" key is
NOT stuck, the mouse is stationary.

I can confirm (for what it is worth) that running BlueProximity and
OpenOffice Writer at the same time causes the File menu in OpenOffice
writer to open unexpectedly every N seconds, where N is the "Command
interval" configured in BlueProximity. For those who don't know

First of all, I changed system language from german to english to
reproduce the problem. But the problem as descriped above does not
appear. I don't know why. So I'm not sure if you are able to reproduce
it in other languages. However, it is probably a problem in the german
language translation.

I think I solved the problem. There is an interaction of the media player
"totem" with OO. When I played internet radio or audio files this problem
appears.
