I believe that hardware-accelerated video rendering was only fully
completed for Linux in Flash Player version 11. Please try the new
version and if it works for you then change the status to Fix Released.
If it doesn't work then please change the status to Confirmed. If you

I think it's not a nvida-related problem.
I have a ATI Radeon HD4650 and the issue is the same: youtube video are
stuttering even in small size with compiz enabled, with a lot use of cpu, while
without compiz they run smoothly even in fullscreen.
My system: Debian Squeeze, 1 GB RAM, Pentium 4 2.6
I have the same problem with Ubuntu Lucid Lynx 32-bit, Nvidia latest
proprietary driver with an Geforce 8500 GT graphic card.
Flash videos run all slow when fullscreened.
I disabled compiz seemed to solve the issue, but of course lost all the
eye candy effects.
There must be some other solution.

I am running Ubuntu 9.10 64-bit, GeForce 9500 GT, AMD Athlon II x4 620.
I have the beta 195.30 Nvidia drive and beta Flash 10.0 r42.
I use the Compiz Icon. Compiz is running under this command:

Re-assigning to flashplugin-nonfree. The full screen performance of this
plugin with the NVIDIA binary driver is absolutely hideous, but there's
not much anyone can do about that. A quick search on Google will show
that you are not alone, and high CPU usage when running with the NVIDIA
driver is a
