Public bug reported: With compiz and window animations enabled, the detection of "menu windows" does not work for old applications. This causes a lot of old X applications (e.g. editres, xlsfonts) and motif-based applications (e.g. NEdit) to display menus with the wrong animation.
Enabling the qt_fix workaround fixed the issue for me with no noticable side-effects. So I propose to enable the qt_fix workaround in compiz by default. This is with compiz-1:0.8.2-0ubuntu8 and nvidia-glx-180.44-0ubuntu1 on Jaunty. ** Affects: compiz (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- qt_fix enabled by default would fix menus in old X apps https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/377025 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
