I think it is no longer an issue, does not have any problem in the latest
Ubuntu.

This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in
it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? Can you try

I'm running Ubuntu 9.04 in VirtualBox, and also get the same message
just before power down. It pauses on that message for a few seconds and
then shuts down cleanly.

The accurate message is not "Power Shutdown" but "Power Down"
means numbers, But I could not record this.
