I can confirm this is an issue with maximus. Maximus is installed by default on UNR and maximizes almost everything you run. However, it keeps a blacklist (two actually) of applications not to maximize, such as pidgin. Empathy is not currently blacklisted, and I can confirm that it does get maxi
