This bug doesn't relate to empathy at all. Its an issue with maximus
not having Empathy on its blacklist. Marking Empathy as invalid.

I confirm this too. Adding a value of "Empathy" to
/apps/maximus/exclude_class is a temporary workaround.

I can confirm this is an issue with maximus. Maximus is installed by
default on UNR and maximizes almost everything you run. However, it
keeps a blacklist (two actually) of applications not to maximize, such
as pidgin. Empathy is not currently blacklisted, and I can confirm that
it does get maxi

Unfortunately there is no enough data to work on this bug. Could you provide
more info? For example when does it get maximized? When you launch it, when you
click on icon in notification area? Could you attach a screenshot?
