I got the same Issue with mediatomb-daemon_0.12.0~svn2018-6ubuntu2
I suggest to reopen the bug.

Yes I get this issue too in karmic when trying to install the karmic version
For your information, I take the .deb of jaunty (0.11) and installing them
without problem, then upgrade with synaptic to karmic version (0.12) and no
problem, this time it's ok and running as 0.12
