I'm on Kubuntu12.10 amd64 using a Thinkpad T61p with the proprietary NVIDIA drivers and the issue still is present. I am willing to help debugging this, I am a developer myself so I can follow complex instructions. Suspend works very well, but hibernation does not. What does work is writing the
