Public bug reported:

For the last few days for no apparent reason, in all applications I've tried
(editors, graphics programs, media programs - even vlc and eclipse) when I go
to file->open or save or such it takes minutes to load the browsing window. I
know that this is not an IO problem - browsing with nautilius works great and
also i have another os on this computer and everything works great there as
well.
I've been using 9.04 pretty much since it came out and have no idea what has
caused it.
Please help me fix this. At least tell me if it's fixable and if it's 9.04
problem so I could go back to previous distro.

My info:
Description: Ubuntu 9.04
Release: 9.04

I always install updates as soon as I get a notification and currently am up to
date.
Just in case - the last thing I did before this suddenly started to happen was
"complete removal" of ktorrent.

Thanks in advance,
Anna
