Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nvidia-glx-180
I am running 32-bit Jaunty on a Dell XPS M1710 laptop with an NVIDIA GeForge Go 7900 GS. Compiz is ON. I have two screens with different vertical resolutions (1920x1200 and 1920x1080). When I enable NVIDIA TwinView, the extra space at the bottom of the larger screen is cut off and shows black. THIS IS A REGRESSION. In previous versions of Ubuntu, the whole screen was usable. Some additional notes: - Nothing but black ever displays in the extra section, except the cursor, which shows up normally. - Maximized windows fill the _usable_ space (i.e., they do NOT extend into the black section). - Right-clicking in the black section _does_ bring up a context menu, but only the part that is above the black section is visible. $ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 9.04 Release: 9.04 $ apt-cache policy nvidia-glx-180 nvidia-glx-180: Installed: 180.44-0ubuntu1 Candidate: 180.44-0ubuntu1 Version table: *** 180.44-0ubuntu1 0 500 http://archive.ubuntu.com jaunty/restricted Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status ** Affects: nvidia-graphics-drivers-180 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- [Jaunty][regression] TwinView with different vertical resolutions cuts off bottom of larger screen https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/380817 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
