Public bug reported:

Ubuntu 9.04
Binary package hint: update-manager 1:0.111.9

While updating the system from the Ubuntu repositories with 'sudo
aptitude update', I get this error:

49% [1 Translation-es bzip2 0] [2 Translation-es 330324/1270kB 26%] [Waiting
for headers]
bzip2: Data integrity error when decompressing.
Input file = (stdin), output file = (stdout)

It is possible that the compressed file(s) have become corrupted.
You can use the -tvv option to test integrity of such files.

You can use the `bzip2recover' program to attempt to recover
data from undamaged sections of corrupted files.

The problem can be circumvented if you unset LANG

By typing, 'unset LANG' before updating, you don't see this error any
more and the process finishes all right

I suppose that this might be an issue with my locales, but it might also
be a bug
