I can confirm this bug too. I use kde 3.5.4 and I didn't have the
problem before updating from 3.5.3. Don't know if the output from kde's
crash handler helps but here it is anyway. Looks similar to the one
above.

I just played again a bit with KDE and unfortunately I've also to
confirm that the bug is reapearing with latest KDE version in dapper.
