We haven't heard back from you about this in a little while. Is this
still a problem?
Please try with the new Ubuntu release (9.10, Karmic Koala) if possible
and let us know whether this is still an issue.

This appears to me as being fixed in Ubuntu Karmic. Is there any way you
could try either with the development release (Karmic) that will be
