Hi Sebastian, Sorry about the lack of data. I'm not a computer buff and am not sure of how to go about these things.
I'm using the Gnome Desktop environment so I looked in the /var/crash directory. There is nothing there so it is not a crash as you define. All I can add at this stage is that when I try to page through a document the graphical display disappears. I can reboot the program but of course I get a new display. I am willing to do whatever checks are necessary but please give instructions for an average user if you are able to help.
