I have a TR4M-B as well, but use the eSATA Silicon Image 3132 PCI-E
controller. I also have this problem with the 2.6.28-14 and 2.6.31-5
kernels. I am not doing any overclocking however. Does anyone have a
solution for this bug other than downgrading the kernel?

Jaunty upgrade breaks SATA port
One update. My system was overclocked when I saw this bug in Jaunty. It
was also overclocked when I ran Intrepid but I did not see any problems
with port multiplier.
Now with Jaunty if I disable overclocking and go to a regular speed it
works OK, no complains from system and port multiplier initia
I confirm this bug. No problem with previous kernel but with last update

Have just updated packages and got new kernel version 2.6.28-13. Still
see the same problem, port multiplier is not correctly recognized most
of the time.
