The segfaults may have disappeared with 2:2.7.99.1+git20090602.ec2fde7c- 0ubuntu2 which included a couple of patches to fix segfaults. In order to keep the bug reports concise and focused on the issue that is problematic, I think it would be best if you file a new bug report using the ubuntu-bug c
