Ok, tried that, it got the file off but, the file itself is some sort of a
cluster f
After re-fortmating the card it works for a while and the problem re-appers.
seems to be happening after about 1GB of pictures. so my guess that this is
a camera problem. however the camera itself opens the fil
gphoto is not doing anything exotic in ptp (just very basic protocol).
it seems the camera does not want this file to be got from the camera.
workaround:
gphoto2 -f /store_00010001/DCIM -P
