Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-media

Hi,
I bought a Sennheiser PC31 (headphone + microphone) headset and listening goes
fine, however the microphone part does not work. I have tried other similar
devices from friends with the same problem: microphone not working. I have gone
through systèmes------------preferences-------------son (I am French, living in
France) and tried all the possibities that are offered, nevertheless it still
doesn't work. Can you help ? I use Ubuntu 9.04. I have dealt with a helpful
"support" from Ubuntu but it still doesn't work. I have tried to plug the
device both at the front of my desktop and at the back. I have screenshots of
all settings if you're interested
Thanks
