On my HP Compaq nc6400, the synaptics touchpad has worked flawlessly on Gutsy,
Hardy, Intrepid and Jaunty but now with Karmic alpha 2, it has these problems
a. tap to click does not work - I need to select with the button rather than a
single tap on the touchpad
b. scroll zones do not work by moving finger up or down on the right hand side
of the touchpad
c. the pointer freezes at apparently random places in various applications -
nothing seems to be able to free it and the computer needs a reboot to recover.
