Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-system-monitor
Tried to increase priority of a process using the gnome system monitor (2.26.0.1). After clicking "change priority" the busy/wait wheel spins but the system is totally hung; left it for 10+ minutes one time trying to wait it out. Only way out I've found is to restart the box. It's happened three consecutive times; twice on dragon player, third time on g-s-m itself. I haven't the patience tonight to try it again. ( 9.04, AMD 64) I don't often tinker with priorities, but I didn't see this behavior with 8.04 This system has other hangs: _ sometimes_ on unlocking screen when bad password tried, and it consistently takes a long time to open large directories with nautilus, but then it's only nautilus that's temporarily hung (both previously reported).
