So this is where it is set in the options, not sure what code accesses
it programmaticly.

This is really a bug but I am not sure what is setting the directory
yet. I couldn't find reference to the xdg stuff in fpicker so I am
assuming its somewhere in framework. Will update you once I find what is
setting it. It does work with both the gnome file dialog and the
internal OOo file dialog.
Ugh no results on XDG_CONFIG_DIRS, so not sure what to grep for next.

Home is the default save location for any locale (for kde integration).
Works as designed as far as I can tell.
