Note that the suspend/resume fixes were commited _after_ 2.6.31-rc1 in
linus' tree, so 2.6.31-2.14 will be the first one with the fixes.

I updated my system to 2.6.31-rc1 (note: not the 2.6.31-1.13 just
uploaded to karmic, since that crashes on boot on X200, see bug #392709
-- I pulled the upstream tree up to commit 4075ea8c and built it myself)
and I was able to suspend/resume from within an X session and not have
it freeze on my L
I see the same behaviour on my Thinkpad X200, too. After resume from
suspend (to disk or to RAM), the screen stays black (the backlight is
on).
