Thanks for considering this. However, now that I have moved to 10.04 I have
not noticed this issue at all. So I would consider it closed.

For the launchpad issue, if have you enabled some addons like noref or
refcontrol ecc.., here in Launchpad you have to disable or make an exception.
No REFERER Header. Launchpad requires a REFERER header to perform this
action. There is no REFERER header
