Dear Bartosz, just as a reminder: I think this bug is solved. For the
hibernation problem, I filled another bug report. Ubuntu 9.10 works on
Samsung NC20 now.

Dear Bartosz,
I forgot to tell you that with the openchrome driver from SVN, system
hibernation is broken. My ubuntu 9.04 system is unable to reload the
(sucessful stored) image then...

I tried the SVN openchrome this week. With it the 1200x800 resolution
works fine on the Samsung NC20. I.e. this bug could be closed if the SVN
openchrome driver would be part of ubuntu.

well, I'm not aware of a second monitor with this netbook (must be very
hidden :O)). But - apart from the built-in TFT - there is a VGA
connector. Maybe this is what you see in the log. Is there a way to
disable it in xorg.conf?
The problem is that the stock openchrome just does not

panel and DFP.
Do you have two connected monitors ?
Duoview is not implemented yet, so try to enable only one monitor.
Why do you think that resolution 1280x800 is not supported?

The openchrome driver from svn is better. But as present it is *not* a
real replacement, as it only shows a few test images (no login, no
desktop, no mouse, ...).
BTW, it is possible to use this hardware with the fbdev driver (vesa is
*not* an option as it also do not support the 1280x800 resoluti
