Your Xorg.0.log says this: (II) GLX: no usable GL providers found for screen 0 That message appears because the i965_dri.so file is missing from your system. Can you make sure the libgl1-mesa-dri package is installed and if so reinstall it? ** Changed in: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu)
