Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

My harddisk was almost full and I downloaded a file that exceeded the capacity
my harddisk could hold. When this happened, a dialogue came up telling me about
critical lack of space. I deleted the partially downloaded file, and the
download window's progress bars just hung even afterward. Yet I could download
other files easily, but the progress bar was just frozen.
Specks:
Ubuntu Jaunty 9.04
3.0 Package
I expected the large download to cancel itself or let me cancel it, but it just
hung.
