This is resolved in 10.04 alpha releases. The f22 not will disable the
touchpad.

I meant in last post that f22 keypress will now disable the touchpad

OK, I don't think that this generally works right now. Tentatively
assigning to gnome-settings-daemon and retitling appropriately.
