This bug report is being closed due to your last comment regarding this
being fixed with an update. For future reference you can manage the
status of your own bugs by clicking on the current status in the yellow
line and then choosing a new statu

I plugged this in on an up-to-date Maverick install and it worked as a
mouse instantly with no configuration!!! So happy :D HAHAHAHAH THIS IS

After digging through the driver code, there's 1 major flaw. There are
almost no defaults being set. That's why people have to spend time
adding the Top? and Bottom? options to the config files manually.
Further, that same lack of defaults is the reason I had to root around
in the driver code to be

Download, compilation, xorg.conf and hal changing?
Write driver first, compile, write window manager, write hal clone, etc... :)
