I had the same problem on my SuSE 10.0 and 10.1 - 64 boxes, so googling to find the solution I arrived to this forum. I don't know if this will work for you but I removed kde ooffice integration and it simply flies now. Since all previous solution were temorarily solutions this one last for a week

In addidition to my previous post. I noticed that I actually can use the database application if I disable java in the Tools>Options>java. So It seems to be linked with the JRE. Maybe there's something missing in the 64 bits version. Yet it is quite useful to link a database with jdbc. So it def

In addidition to my previous post. I noticed that I actually can use the database application if I disable java in the Tools>Options>java. So It seems to be linked with the JRE. Maybe there's something missing in the 64 bits version. Yet it is quite useful to link a database with jdbc. So it def
