Public bug reported: The Fit-PC2 which uses the CompuLab SBC-FITPC2 motherboard will not reboot in the Ubuntu 9.04 kernel (tested with 2.6.28-11-server). The system will hang after the output of the kernel message stating that the system is restarting.
According to the Fit-PC2 forum, the solution involves compiling a custom kernel with tweaks to 'reboot.c' to allow the system to identify the Fit-PC2 motherboard as one which requires quicks enabled. It also requires the kernel to be compile with the 'CONFIG_X86_REBOOTFIXUPS=y' option. Could these changes be applied to the Ubuntu kernel and distributed with Jaunty's release life cycle or will this have to be targeted for Ubuntu 9.10?
