Correction: Switching to a second window does not fix it. Only clicking on a panel, hovering over the menu, or clicking on a newly opened window (e.g. Alt-F2 for the Run dialog and then clicking the dialog). Having the new window grab focus is not enough, the new window must be clicked on. --
