- Treat disabled CRTCs as "not covering" for scanline wait purposes.
Fixes problems returning from a dpms off state.
With -intel version 2:2.7.99.901+git20090702.74227141-0ubuntu1 and
kernel 2.6.30-rc2, I've not seen any freezes or other issues, even
running compiz & KMS.

You should be able to reproduce it very quickly by changing the
screensaver timeout to the minimum, adjusting the "Put the display to
sleep when inactive" option in power settings to the minimum and leave
it for a minute or two if it helps any.

intel_2.7.99.901+git20090702.74227141-0ubuntu1 (one heck of a version
number there :)
It may take a while to find out if the hangs are fixed, since they don't
happen that often and are not very reproducible.

Please try the xserver-xorg-video-intel drivers in the x-updates PPA.
This problem should have been fixed by these two commits
