I would also like to add that Xv is enabled with the alpha 2 release,
but stopped working after upgrading the system after installation.
Attaching the Xorg-log from before the upgrade, in case this helps.

Thank you! It is very useful to know that it worked with alpha 2 before
upgrades. The one major change I can think of after alpha 2 is that
kernel modesetting (KMS) has been enabled in the kernel. Could you try
to disable KMS on an upgraded Karmic to see if KMS is the culprit? To do
that, add the
Btw, I think you can also enable KMS with i915.modeset=1 on alpha-2 if
you haven't upgraded yet, and see if it causes the problem.
