This turned out to be due to out-of-date seeds that pulled 2.6.24-23
kernel udebs onto the CDs. I've fixed this and respun server CD images:

Sorry about this - the seed change had been in my working tree for
Reopening - this seems to be a problem with ext3-modules not being
available.

After discussion on IRC this appears to be due to a failed RAID drive on
the relevant enablement machine. Ronald says he's seen some other 8.04.3
failures and will follow up separately on those.
