hank you for bringing this bug to our attention. However, a paper cut
should be a small usability issue , in the default Ubuntu 9.10 install ,
that affects many people and is quick and easy to fix. So this bug can't
be addressed as part of the project.
The application subcommander is not a default
subcommander-doc is still listed as suggested in both Ubuntu 9.10 and
Lucid. I am nominating this as a papercut in hopes it can be changed.

subcommander-doc needs to be a recommends instead of suggested.
Request the necessary changes be made to make 'subcommander-doc' a
recommends when installing 'subcommander'.

After installing the subcommander-doc package, it did work.
Still, think it's an inconsistency having the man page in the subcommander
package and the rest of the documentation in the subcommander-doc package.
One possible solution to this bug would be to refer to the subcommander-

in Xubuntu 9.04, and found that the "subcommander-doc" package is a
suggested package to be installed. Since it is suggested, it does not
install with the subcommander application. After installing
