Binary package hint: sreadahead
I am running Jaunty with kernel 2.6.28-13-lpia
I installed sreadahead but it quits immediate after it starts.
Trying to run manually, I got this:
r...@ubuntu904:~# umount /var/lib/sreadahead/debugfs/
r...@ubuntu904:~# strace -o /tmp/out /sbin/sreadahead -d
Unable to select open tracer
: Invalid argument
The strace output shows that the "write" system call failed.
It seems like some kind of missing functionality or bug in the kernel.
Perhaps something is missing in the kernel to get this working.
