Hi there. Also impacted by this. Ubuntu 8.04.3 can't detect Broadcom
NetXtreme 2 5716.
As a matter of fact, Ubuntu 8.10 does work correctly.
As 8.04 is a LTS, we would also love to see this hardware supported.

If there is a problem using the most recent version of the bnx2 driver I have
confirmed
the older 1.7.9-2 driver included in CentOS 5 works with this hardware.
