This bug just seems to get worse and worse as things go on... what is wrong? Why do I need a windows computer to get linux related downloads? Who ever runs kde-look.org, getdeb.net, and every other linux download site needs to be banned from the internet! For right now, is there a way to get

The only work around I have found for this is to open the file in a new tab, copy and paste the url into kget's open file dialog, and download it. This is really annoying... its something that the kde-look guys really need to fix... if it weren't for this bug, that would be an awesome site. --

This also is happening with .kth (kde theme manager files) and .debs. in kde 3.5.6 in feisty, mainly from kde-look but also happens on pretty much any link that is formatted as a download.php?foowhatever. -- konqueror tries to open a binary file with kate that has .aiz extension

Yeah, it does this for pretty much any file type that the server doesn't recognise. It would be nice if Konqueror could at least start to download the file and try to guess if it's not text/plain for recognised file extensions (e.g. torrent, deb, etc.) based on magic numbers. This bug is
