Just to add a little more information to this, I've tried the following
without any success:
sudo apt-get install ndiswrapper-utils-1.9
sudo ndiswrapper -i net8192se.inf (this was taken from the Windows XP driver
for the card)
sudo ndiswrapper -l
This produced:
net8192se : driver installed
