The RAID arrays are hardware-based arrays, each array presented to the OS as a single /dev/sdX device. While lvm is used, it is only used to partition the drive (as fdisk cannot handle 16TB). Ext3 is used on top of the lvm device. -- EXT3-fs error (device dm-0): htree_dirblock_to_tree: bad
