Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gcc-4.4
Upgraded from Jaunty to Karmic via editing sources.list manually and running a-g update && upgrade && dist-upgrade. The install failed with broken dependencies all through the gcc/cpp packages. I did an apt-get install -f to get the packages installed, everything appears fine and I don't have any problems with the system. Reported in case the logs point out the packaging bug. d...@isengard:~$ apt-cache policy cpp-4.4 cpp-4.4: Installed: 4.4.0-11ubuntu1 Candidate: 4.4.0-11ubuntu2 Version table: 4.4.0-11ubuntu2 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com karmic/main Packages *** 4.4.0-11ubuntu1 0 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status ProblemType: Package Architecture: amd64 Date: Fri Jul 17 14:09:32 2009 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.10 ErrorMessage: corrupted filesystem tarfile - corrupted package archive Package: cpp-4.4 4.4.0-11ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.31-3.19-generic SourcePackage: gcc-4.4 Title: package cpp-4.4 4.4.0-11ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: corrupted filesystem tarfile - corrupted package archive Uname: Linux 2.6.31-3-generic x86_64 ** Affects: gcc-4.4 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-package -- package cpp-4.4 4.4.0-11ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: corrupted filesystem tarfile - corrupted package archive https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/403611 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
